The National Aviation Handling Company have called off the industrial action that paralysed flight operations in Nigeria on Monday 23rd January according to the company.
“We are back to delivering excellent service. Resolutions with the Union members are still ongoing, and are to be concluded before the end of the week,” the company said in a twitter post.
In a communique between stakeholders including management, union representatives and the regulatory agencies it was resolved that the strike be called off immediately and all staff to resume work ending a strike that lasted more than 14 hours.
It was also agreed that a case against the Unions by NAHCO be withdrawn at the national industrial court, negotiations to resume on 25th January 2023 and be concluded within a week.
Speaking on the resolution Group Director NAHCO Dr. Sola Obabori thanked the company’s clients for showing great understanding during the strike period and to all passengers who were inconvenienced by the industrial action.
