JKIA Terminal 2 to be Closed Ahead of Jill Biden’s Visit

The Kenya Airports Authority has announced that Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport’s Terminal 2 will be closed on Friday, February 24th from 1100HRS to 1700HRS to facilitate VVIP movement after directions from security and the ministry of foreign affairs.

The airport will also be closed on Sunday, February 26th from 0600HRS to1800HRS with both aircraft and vehicles cleared from the terminal..

During this period operators have been asked to relocate services to terminal one to allow for smooth operations and facilitate VVIP movement.

The closure corresponds with United States of America’s first lady Jill Biden’s sixth visit to Africa which also includes a visit to Namibia the highest level of VVIP expected this month.
