Rwanda and France on Thursday initialed an updated Bilateral Air Services Agreement and signed an MoU strengthening cooperation in air transport services between cities of the two countries.
The agreements were signed during the first day of French President’s visit to Kigali in what has been termed as a resumption of ties between the two countries.
The pact is part of the bilateral cooperation framework signed between French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian and Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta.
The Air Services Agreement was last signed on 10 May 1973.
