Kenya Airways has said that its aircraft was diverted from London’s Heathrow airport to Stansted airport following a potential security threat aboard KQ100 operating from Nairobi to Heathrow. The airline says this follows a thorough risk assessment by the Kenya and UK security agencies which briefed the crew on board who resulted in the security protocols and precautions.
Upon landing and checks by UK security agencies the threat was concluded to be of low credibility and the aircraft was allowed to continue its route to Heathrow.
