Kenyan airline 748 Air Services has announced that it has seized all domestic commercial flights starting 1st March 2023 and will refund all advance paid tickets as a result.
This is as the company focuses on humanitarian aviation in all its seven African countries where it has operations in what it termed as an extensive review of its business strategy.
748 Air Services Managing Director Moses Mwangi said:
“Our mission is to connect humanity with every flight by working with our partners in support of peace and eradication of hunger in Africa.”
The 25 year old airline that commenced domestic commercial flights in May 2021 had for over 20 years supported UN “Operation Lifeline Sudan” from a camp in Lokichogio, Northern Kenya in response to a devastating war-induced famine and other humanitarian consequences of the Second Sudanese Civil War between the Sudanese government and South Sudanese rebels.
