Uganda Airlines has started operating direct flights to Nigeria three times a week, starting today, with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, Uganda Airlines will be using its 258-seat state-of-the-art Airbus A330-800neo.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has said it will be supporting the maiden flight with a 40-person delegation, led by women and youth, to explore trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
Lagos is among the new routes that the airline has been eyeing with the Ugandan government having asked the Indian government to review her Bilateral Air Service Agreements ( BASAs) with Uganda to have Ugandan Airlines to fly to other cities in India other than Mumbai.
