The advent of the covid-19 pandemic on the Big Island in 2020 forced the national airline to stop serving neighboring islands following the closure of borders. Indeed, December 8,the company took over the historic Mayotte service. This facilitates, among other things, connectivity between islands in the Indian Ocean. The inaugural flight, carrying 50 passengers out of the 64 seats available, demonstrates the loyalty and attachment of our customers, in particular the Mahoran community, to our company and our service. Teams from the Ministry of Transport and Meteorology as well as local authorities joined the Madagascar Airlines team from Mahajanga to mark this first landing.
