Airport Company South Africa (ACSA) has reported refueling challenges at the OR Tambo International Airport.
ACSA attributes the challenge to a technical issue with the main supply valve supplying fuel to the aprons mot opening resulting to rotational delays to domestic and international flights.
A tanker was reported to have been used as a contingency during the period. Additional staff members are also said to have been deployed including terminal announcements to update affected passengers.
Until the problem was solved at 0830HRS the airport management says 41 flights were impacted including 32 domestic, 8 international and one regional flight.
