Kenya Airways to Close Offices in Kisumu & Johannesburg Ahead of Anticipated Protests

Kenya’s national Carrier Kenya Airways has said that its town booking offices in Kisumu and Johannesburg will remain closed on 20th March 2023 as it anticipates protests by the countries’ opposition parties Azimio la Umoja and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) which have called for mass action in both Kenya and South Africa respectively.

Booking offices at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and O.R Tambo International Airport will however remain open according to the airline. These offices are expected to be reopened on 21st March 2023 once the protests subside.

Airports in both countries will remain open.
