The Africa Advanced Air Mobility Symposium has officially begun at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi! Industry leaders and innovators are gathering to explore the future of air mobility in Africa.
Chief Guest at the event Principal Secretary, State Department for Transport Hon. Mohamed Daghar highlighted Kenya’s focus on enabling regulations, infrastructure development, and innovation, while urging collective action across governments, private sector, and academia to shape Africa’s AAM future.

From insightful conversations to meaningful connections, the Africa Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM) is more than just discussions; it’s about bringing industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers together to shape the future of air mobility in Africa.
Speaking at the same event Kenya Airways Group MD & CEO, Allan Kilavuka, during the Africa Advanced Air Mobility Symposium in Nairobi said:
“Advanced Air Mobility presents a game-changing opportunity to bridge Africa’s connectivity gap, particularly in remote and underserved regions,” Kilavuka added.
Fahari Aviation General Manager Hawkins Musili in a panel discussion alongside regulators, innovators, and policymakers explored ways to creating a thriving Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem for Africa. He focused on the importance of collaboration in shaping policies, building infrastructure, fostering regional partnerships, and investing in skills development to support the growth of AAM across the continent. Together, they emphasized that the future of air mobility in Africa depends on collective action and shared vision.
Among other discussion topics included the infrastructure needed to unlock Africa’s Advanced Air Mobility potential including laying the groundwork for AAM success. The conversation highlighted the critical need for investment in vertiports, advanced air traffic systems, and sustainable technologies; all essential to seamlessly integrating Advanced Air Mobility into existing transport networks.
