Air Côte d’Ivoire officially took delivery of its 12th aircraft on April 1, 2025, an Airbus A319, equipped with 16 business class seats and 96 economy class seats.
This acquisition, the first in a series of four aircraft planned for 2025, brings the total number of aircraft in the Air Côte d’Ivoire fleet to 12, according to a press release sent to Abidjan.net.
This fleet expansion is also part of a significant change in the company’s flight schedule, which will come into effect on April 21, 2025, ahead of the launch of its intercontinental flights.
Thus, Air Côte d’Ivoire’s new flight schedule aims to offer passengers increased connectivity and flexibility, with several advantages including optimized connectivity (seamless connection between the company’s 21 routes via its Abidjan hub), adapted schedules (late-day arrivals in Central and Coastal Africa, facilitating travel), increased frequency (two daily round-trip flights to certain destinations, offering more choice to travelers) and new connections (improved schedules for better adaptation to passenger needs).
At the heart of this redesign is a new central hub range, concentrated between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
This optimization will ultimately make it possible to efficiently connect West and Central Africa to long-haul flights, particularly those to Paris, soon to be operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire.
“With these developments, Air Côte d’Ivoire affirms its new ambition to become the main gateway for entry and exit from West and Central Africa to the rest of the world. The airline is committed to offering an exceptional travel experience, strengthening its leading position in the region,” the press release concludes.
